中国医学科学院整形外科医院创建于1957年，是我国最早的整形外科专科医院，是中国整形外科事业的摇篮。医院坐落于风景秀丽的北京西山八大处，占地10万余平方米，是一座中国古典式的园林建筑群，以世界特色建筑入选《英国世界建筑大全》。

　　中国医学科学院整形外科医院是一家集医疗、教学、科研于一体的整形外科三级甲等专科医院。现有职工近500人，其中具有中级以上职称的专业技术人员近百人。医院开设病床320张，每年完成各种整形美容手术2万余例。开设的门诊有普通整形外科、现代美容外科以及二十余个特色中心：唇腭裂中心、外耳整形再造中心、颅颌面外科中心、体形雕塑吸脂中心、瘢痕综合治疗中心、乳房整形美容中心、尿道下裂中心、面颈部整形美容中心、烧伤整形治疗中心、颌面整形中心、微创整形外科中心、四肢整形再造中心、注射美容中心、特需医疗部、美容整形急诊中心、毛发移植中心、激光中心、口腔整形中心等，并在市区开设平安门诊部和北京医科整形美容门诊部。

　　整形外科研究所成立于1978年，研究所下设二级动物实验室、解剖室、病理室、组织工程室、生化免疫室和分子生物室，高标准的科研实验楼也已开始启用。

　　中国医学科学院整形外科医院是北京协和医学院的临床教学医院，也是整形外科学和麻醉学的博士和硕士培养点，同时还是卫生部整形外科专科医师培训及进修生培训基地，有博士、硕士生导师近30人。已培养博士、硕士生140余人，进修生千余名。是《中华整形外科杂志》的编辑出版单位。

　　医院具有雄厚科研力量，承担多项国家省、部级科研课题，并获得许多项科技进步奖。平均每年核心期刊发表文章40余篇。医院与国际整形外科学界有着广泛的联系，近年共接待国际整形外科专家200多批，举行大型国际学术会议10余次，每年有大批国内整形外科同仁来院参观访问和讲学。

　　经过50余年的发展，目前医院正为实现建设国家一流的整形外科人才培养基地、科研基地、疑难杂症诊治基地的目标而不懈努力。

　　The Plastic Surgery Hospital was founded in 1957． Being the oldest plastic surgery hospital in China， the Plastic Surgery Hospital is the cradle of Chinese plastic surgery． The hospital is located in Ba－Da－Chu， a scenic spot in Beijing andcovers an area of 100，000m2． Its classical Chinese style buildings have been included in ‘The British Encyclopedia of World Buildings’．

　　Now， the hospital is a Class A Hospital with a comprehensive system of plastic surgery practice， training， and basic research． The hospital has almost 500 staff， including 59 professors and associated professors， and 38 attending physicians． There are 320 beds for in－patient． More than twenty thousand procedures performed every year． Hospital contains multiple treatment centers， including Cleft Lip and Palate， Auricular Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery， Cranio－maxillo－facial Surgery， Body Sculpture and Liposuction， Comprehensive Treatment of Scar， Breast Plastic Surgery， Hypospadias， Aesthetic and Reconstruction Surgery of the Face and Neck， Burn Plastic Surgery， Trauma and Aesthetic， Hair Transplantation， Laser Aesthetic Surgery， Oral Medical Cosmetic， Gender Confirmation Surgery， Gyneplasty and so on．　PING－AN Clinic and GUO－MAO Clinic are located in Downtown Beijing．

　　Plastic Surgery Institute was established in 1978． The Institute consists of a secondary class laboratory of animals and laboratories of Pathology， Tissue Engineering， Anatomy， Biochemistry and Immunology， and Molecular biology． An art of state Science and Experiment building is under construction．

　　As a teaching hospital of Peking Union Medical College， the hospital offers master and doctor’s Degrees on Plastic Surgery and Anesthesiology． It has already been officially appointed as the National Continue Medical Education Center of Plastic Surgery by the Ministry of Health． Till now， total 145 masters and doctors have graduated from here． More than one thousand of plastic surgeons have been trained here． The hospital owns an editorial department of ‘The Journal of Chinese Plastic Surgery’．

　　The hospital has taken on many research programs of national or ministerial level， and has obtained several Science and Technology Progress Award in Beijing． More than 40 scientific articles have been published in core journals annually．　Now， the hospital has developed extensive international academic relations． Conferences and courses of plastic and aesthetic surgery are held periodically． Lots of plastic surgeons make a visit in our hospital annually．
