江南大学医药学院是我国培养制药工程、护理专业高层次人才的主要基地之一。江南大学医药学院创建于2007年6月，是在江南大学原医学院和江南大学生物工程学院原生物制药系的基础上联合组建而成。特别是制药工程专业是教育部品牌特色专业建设点，并是“国家生命科学与技术人才培养基地”生源遴选基地之一。

　　学院拥有“微生物与生化药学”全日制学术型硕士学位点、“制药工程”专业硕士学位点以及“生物工程（制药技术）”工程硕士学位点，并是发酵工程博士学位点生物制药研究方向的承担单位。目前拥有 7500平方米的教学、科研和办公用房，教学及科研仪器2500余万元，为教学、科研提供了良好的条件。

　　学院建有江苏省生物医药制造工程技术研究中心、科技部火炬计划重点项目“生物医药工程放大技术和企业孵化平台”、无锡市人民政府“无锡市生物医药技术服务公共平台”等研发基地。学院还与校外相关单位共建了卫生部核医学重点实验室、卫生部寄生虫病预防与控制技术重点实验室、江苏省微生物制药工程技术研究中心以及无锡市人民医院SFDA药品临床试验评价基地等省部级重点实验室和工程技术研究中心。

　　学院师资队伍雄厚，拥有一支包括省部级有突出贡献的中青年专家、教育部新世纪优秀人才、江苏省“333”高层次培养人才以及“江苏省六大人才高峰计划”获得者等在内的水准高、素质好、结构合理的师资队伍。专任教师中80%为高级职称（其中博士生导师和硕士生导师15名），50%具有交叉学历或一年以上海外高访背景，60%具有博士学位。此外，还聘请了20余位包括国家千人计划、著名制药企业总工程师、“太湖学者”等在内的一大批富有科教能力和实践经验的专家学者担任学院兼职教授。

　　学院具有很强的科技创新力。2006年以来，医药学院教师先后主持或主要参与了30余项包括国家重大新药创制专项、国家973计划、863计划、国家科技支撑重大项目、国家自然科学基金以及国际合作项目在内的科研项目，并承担20余项省部级科研项目的技改。联合申报了国家新药证书2份，国家食品与药品管理局受理新药2份，在国内外发表科研论文300余篇，获得或申报国家发明专利40余项。同时完成了20余项企业委托项目，建成了1个校级优秀创新团队。

　　学院非常重视本科生的培养质量，确立了研究型工程创新人才培养的目标，并建立起一整套系统的管理体制与机制。2009年获得江苏省“以生物制药为特色的制药工程专业建设与研究”重中之重教改项目，为建设国家级品牌专业奠定坚实的基础。护理专业为满足由于国际护理人员严重短缺，国际化趋势对我国涉外护理人才需求增加带来的市场需求，专门开设了全英文国际护理培训课程以供学生选择。该课程全部采用原版教材，全程英文授课，所开设课程全部由具有海外学习背景、博士学位的高级职称教师及具有美国执业护士资格证和硕士学位的外教完成授课。

　　学院毕业生享有很高的社会美誉度，毕业生就业单位多为我国沿海地区大型制药企业或研发机构及大型医疗机构。每年招收全日制本科生160余人，年招收博士、硕士研究生40余人。

　　Brief Introduction of School of Medicine and Pharmaceutics

　　School of Medicine and Pharmaceutics at Jiangnan University is one of the main bases for the Highly Qualified Talents Cultivating in the fields of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Nursing in China. Established in June， 2007， the School is combined by former Department of Molecular and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from School of Biotechnology and former School of Medicine. Its pharmaceutical engineering program has been built as MOE’s characteristic branded program， as well as one of the candidates’ origin bases of “National Base for Talents Training on Life Science and Technology”.

　　Currently possessing 7，500 m2 academic， experimental， and administrative facilities and more than 25 million RMB equipments and apparatus， the School have two undergraduate programs， Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Engineer in Pharmaceutical Engineering， and three graduate programs， Master of Medicine in Microbial and Biochemical Pharmaceutics （academic， full time）， Master of Engineering in Pharmaceutical Engineering （technological， full time）， and Master of Engineering in Bioengineering for Pharmaceutical technology （technological， part time） now. Besides， the postgraduates applying for the Doctor of Industry in Fermentation Engineering for Biopharmaceuticals are also cultivated in this school.

　　A lot of research facilities such as Jiangsu Province's Research Center for Manufacturing Engineering & Technology of Biopharmaceuticals， one of the Key Projects of MST’s China Torch Program： “Platform of Biopharmaceutical Engineering Enlargement Technology & Enterprise Incubation”， Wuxi Common Platform for Biopharmaceuticals Technical Service， MOH’s Key Laboratory of Nuclear Medicine， MOH’s Key Laboratory of Parasitosis Prevention and Control Technology， Jiangsu’s Research Center of Pharmaceutical Microbiological Engineering & Technology， Wuxi People Hospital’s SFDA Drug Clinical Trial and Evaluation Base have been established in the main campus or outside.

　　Possessing Provincial or Ministry Level Young and Middle-Aged Experts with Outstanding Contribution， New Century Excellent Talents in University， MOE， as well as the getters of Jiangsu’s “333” Program of Highly Qualified Talents Cultivation and “Jiangsu’s Talents Summit Program for Six Main Fields”， its academic team is highly qualified and recognized. Eighty percent of them are （full or associate） professors， and sixty percent of them have doctor's degrees. Meanwhile， an half of them have interdisciplinary background or oversea scholar experience. Besides， more than 20 specialists and scholars full of invention and practical skills and experiences， including the getters of National Thousand Talents Program， technical directors of some well known pharmaceutical corporations， “Taihu Lake Scholar”， are employed as part-time professors.

　　Due to powerfully innovative ability， more than 30 research projects， including some projects from National Significant Drug Initiative Program， 973 Program， 863 Program， National Science and Technological Support Key Projects Program， NSF Program from Chinese Government， as well as international cooperation projects， have been taken charge of or part in by the team members of this school since 2006. As results， two New Drugs have been jointly applied and accepted by SFDA， more than 300 articles have been published on national and international journals， more than 40 patents have been applied and some of them have been rewarded. Besides， more than 20 projects consigned by enterprises have also been carried out， and a University Level Excellent Innovative Team has been established.

　　The school has devoted much attention to the training quality of undergraduate program. The cultivation goal has been set as Technologically Engineering Innovative Talents and the corresponding operation and management system adapted to such goal has also been established. “The Study and Build-Up of Pharmaceutical Engineering Program Characterized by Biopharmaceuticals”， the Jiangsu Reform of College Curriculum Project with Top Priority has been rewarded since 2009， laying solid foundation for the construction of national branded program. In order to fulfill the increasing need of international society for nursing service and nurse， a complete English program for nursing training， taking English as the only official language， delivering by only the lecturers with oversea experiences or RN from USA， has been designed and carried out as an optional choice for the student involved in nursing program.

　　As the result of such efforts， the school has enjoyed very high reputation and its graduates are welcomed by giant pharmaceutical corporations， research institutes and large medical organization. More than 160 full-time undergraduate students， 40 full-time postgraduate students， more than 200 part-time undergraduate students， and more than 100 part-time postgraduate students have been enrolled every year.
